Arnulfo Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Celipe in the 10th minute of play. Malargüe's Arnulfo Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Gau in the 11th minute of play. Arnulfo Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luciano Rivas fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sebalito's protests and gave Luciano Rivas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Malargüe booed when Sebalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Malargüe's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Rivas came free, but Arnulfo Semeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaudencio Chano charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaudencio Chano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Malargüe's Domingo Montrell was substituted for Javier Marquez. Domingo Montrell scored 1-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Malargüe getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Domingo Montrell hit a great ball. Arnulfo Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Celipe, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Hermengildo Gau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Arnulfo Semeno made a huge save. Sebalito's Severino Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Monico in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Rivas got free with Arnulfo Semeno in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Genaro Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Semeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Gau in the 68th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Malargüe's goalkeeper Arnulfo Semeno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Rivas. Arnulfo Semeno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Casimiro Celipe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 84 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Luciano Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sebalito's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Rivas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Semeno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Casimiro Celipe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnulfo Semeno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 93rd minute, one of Malargüe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malargüe. The Sebalito supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sebalito would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
