Delfim Lencastre came out of the goal and Vasco Viveiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute, Reginaldo Cortez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Família Brandão FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 56th minute, Reginaldo Cortez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Delfim Lencastre. The goal made the score 1-3. 67 minutes into the game, Bultra Copos FC ™'s Jorge Ávila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Alvarenga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3.
