Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rupert Hallam kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute Danny Milburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rod Turnbull saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gordon Pollard in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rod Turnbull, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 9 minutes into the game, Jools Morning recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rod Turnbull. Jools Morning showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rod Turnbull made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Charlton in the 12th minute of play. When Brendon Holmes fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Addington's protests and gave Brendon Holmes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Brendon Holmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Kidlington's zone, Danny Milburn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rod Turnbull came out of the goal and Danny Milburn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 played minutes Great Addington got a freekick which was hit by Brendon Holmes. Rod Turnbull made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Johnnie Ellis sent off a good shot on target. Gordon Pollard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rod Turnbull was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Danny Milburn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. Vinnie Whitford's late challenge caught a Great Addington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinnie Whitford helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kidlington's Vinnie Whitford got a free kick in the 41st minute. Rod Turnbull made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gordon Pollard in the 44th minute. Anthony Bullard kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gordon Pollard made a kick off. Rod Turnbull showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jools Morning, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnnie Ellis in the 59th minute of play forced Kidlington's goalkeeper Rod Turnbull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Danny Milburn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rod Turnbull was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Malcolm Fairfax kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwyn Shilton during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gwyn Shilton hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Rod Turnbull took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnnie Ellis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gordon Pollard struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Rod Turnbull didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Addington. Gordon Pollard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Turnbull having to interfere. Kidlington's Rupert Hallam got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Johnnie Ellis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rod Turnbull was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 92nd minute, Danny Milburn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rod Turnbull was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 95th match minute, Kidlington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwyn Shilton to maneuver through the defense.
