Spectators: 5730 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mitch Coulson got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Ephemeral Ghosts's Buster Vaughn got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Mitch Coulson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daryl Myers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. If Mitch Coulson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the game, Mark Phippard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ephemeral Ghosts's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dag & Red the free kick. The supporters of Dag & Red booed when Ephemeral Ghosts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Phippard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dag & Red's Mattias Roebuck got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mitch Coulson came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Dag & Red fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitch Coulson couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Mitch Coulson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Daryl Myers, passed just outside the right post. 21 minutes into the game, Buster Vaughn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ephemeral Ghosts's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dag & Red the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dale Hibbert during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dag & Red's Tim Alsford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paddy Bellamy in the 24th minute of play. Mitch Coulson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ephemeral Ghosts's Buster Vaughn got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Buster Vaughn off the ground. A collision led to Ephemeral Ghosts getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Buster Vaughn hit a great ball. Daryl Myers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Coulson in the 35th minute of play. Dag & Red's Phillip Clay got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mattias Roebuck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Clayton hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Mitch Coulson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Daryl Myers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ephemeral Ghosts's zone, Phillip Clay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daryl Myers came out of the goal and Phillip Clay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reuben Chapman made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ephemeral Ghosts's zone, Chaz Bullock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daryl Myers came out of the goal and Chaz Bullock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daryl Myers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Coulson in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ephemeral Ghosts's Reuben Chapman got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Dag & Red's Mitch Coulson in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ephemeral Ghosts's goalie prevented a goal. Mitch Coulson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Roebuck might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daryl Myers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mattias Roebuck ran back to his position shaking his head. If Mattias Roebuck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the game, Dag & Red's Mattias Roebuck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daryl Myers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Phillip Clay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Myers having to interfere. Daryl Myers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Grayson in the 71st minute of play. If Phillip Clay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Mitch Coulson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daryl Myers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Roebuck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daryl Myers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Clay, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Mitch Coulson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daryl Myers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitch Coulson in the 93rd minute of play forced Ephemeral Ghosts's goalkeeper Daryl Myers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattias Roebuck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Myers having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dag & Red fully deserved thier win.
