Thom Rowling came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Ephemeral Ghosts's Paddy Bellamy. But to his dismay, Paddy Bellamy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thom Rowling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paddy Bellamy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trey Johnstone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daryl Myers having to make a save. The supporters of Ephemeral Ghosts booed when Stocksbridge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curtis Best didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Trey Johnstone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ephemeral Ghosts's goalkeeper Daryl Myers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thom Rowling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reuben Chapman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trey Johnstone in the 34th minute of play forced Ephemeral Ghosts's goalkeeper Daryl Myers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ephemeral Ghosts booed when Stocksbridge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trey Johnstone didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paddy Bellamy to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonny Holmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Daryl Myers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Trey Johnstone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daryl Myers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny Holmes in the 56th minute of the match. Paddy Bellamy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Stocksbridge FC got a freekick which was hit by Ethan Barton. Jonny Holmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Myers having to interfere. When Trey Johnstone came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Stocksbridge FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trey Johnstone couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonny Holmes in the 70th minute of play forced Ephemeral Ghosts's goalkeeper Daryl Myers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ephemeral Ghosts's zone, Trey Johnstone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daryl Myers came out of the goal and Trey Johnstone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Trey Johnstone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daryl Myers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Stocksbridge FC's Trey Johnstone in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ephemeral Ghosts's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Ephemeral Ghosts's Steve Merchant got a free kick in the 81st minute. Stefan Machin kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Ephemeral Ghosts's Reuben Chapman got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st match minute, Ephemeral Ghosts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Clayton to maneuver through the defense.
