Richard Verity was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oscar Heath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Richard Verity tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trey Goacher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes, Executive Crew's Donny Rusby shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Verity came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Executive Crew reached it. Richard Verity showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trey Goacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Louie Sherwood was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jerome Trusswell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Trusswell in the 32nd minute of play forced Executive Crew's goalkeeper Louie Sherwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trey Goacher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Verity having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Donny Rusby put in a rough tackle. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Executive Crew! Richard Verity took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Heath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jerome Trusswell made the kick off in the second half. Richard Verity showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ethan Corrigan in the 51st minute of the match. Oscar Heath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. byby Im Bored.com's Jerome Trusswell got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ethan Corrigan hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Jay Sinclair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Sherwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louie Sherwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Lightfoot in the 68th minute of the match. Louie Sherwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerome Trusswell in the 70th minute of play. Oscar Heath recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matthew Goodwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oscar Heath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Heath could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Richard Verity made a huge save. Richard Verity took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Goodwick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
