When Şükrü Hakan Olgun came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Fagersta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şükrü Hakan Olgun couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valskog IFK's goalkeeper Stig-Arne Berg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stig-Arne Berg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fagersta. Valskog IFK's Stig-Arne Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stellan Fredriksson in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Fagersta's goalkeeper Tomas Brun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Konrad Moberg. Tomas Brun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakarias Borre, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sakarias Borre was the one to do the kick off. Sakarias Borre took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Brun. Tomas Brun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konrad Moberg in the 63rd minute of play forced Fagersta's goalkeeper Tomas Brun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sakarias Borre took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Brun.
