Mårten Ekelund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Stålberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 4 minutes into the game, Üllar Ingelborg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lasses IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hanaskog the free kick. After 5 played minutes Lasses IK got a freekick which was hit by Üllar Ingelborg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Ekström in the 9th minute of play forced Lasses IK's goalkeeper Mårten Ekelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mårten Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigvard Stålberg in the 10th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Markus Wästerberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hanaskog and the Lasses IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hanaskog getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Markus Wästerberg hit a great ball. With his leg Freddie Ahlquist managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Lasses IK's Per-Arne Lind fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lasses IK's Mårten Wennersten got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Hanaskog's goalkeeper Freddie Ahlquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Üllar Ingelborg. Bernt Hedström hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Hanaskog's Sigvard Stålberg in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lasses IK's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Hanaskog getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Sven-Åke Springfält hit a great ball. Mårten Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigvard Stålberg in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Ekström in the 27th minute of play forced Lasses IK's goalkeeper Mårten Ekelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Hanaskog's goalkeeper Freddie Ahlquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mårten Wennersten. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hanaskog's goalkeeper Freddie Ahlquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Per-Arne Lind's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Ahlquist was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Hans Kling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mårten Ekelund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Lasses IK's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Ekström came free, but Mårten Ekelund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mårten Wennersten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Freddie Ahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Üllar Ingelborg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Gunnarsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddie Ahlquist. Hanaskog's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mårten Ekelund was a little too slow when Sigvard Stålberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 64th minute Per-Arne Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Ahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernt Hedström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Ahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Arne Lind in the 66th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Lasses IK's Mårten Wennersten made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddie Ahlquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Lasses IK's Mårten Ekelund got control of the ball when Frank Ekström tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Lasses IK getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Michel Gunnarsson hit a great ball. The supporters of Lasses IK booed when Hanaskog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Ekström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddie Ahlquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Arne Lind's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Lasses IK's Michel Gunnarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Ekström during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Hanaskog got a freekick which was hit by Frank Ekström. John Wennerquist's late challenge caught a Lasses IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Wennerquist helped the player get up and apologised. 85 minutes into the game, one of Hanaskog:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Lasses IK a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mårten Wennersten, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hanaskog's Freddie Ahlquist. 3-1. If Mårten Wennersten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mårten Ekelund acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Markus Wästerberg. Freddie Ahlquist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Arne Lind went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Lasses IK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
