The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Skepplanda booed when La Vecchia Signora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Erik Busk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Arvidsson charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Arvidsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Vecchia Signora! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roland Christoffersson in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mats Ahlquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Roland Christoffersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Vecchia Signora's Mats Ahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Gallin in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Vecchia Signora's Simon Gustafsson got a free kick in the 30th minute. Mats Ahlquist came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Skepplanda's Dan Gallin. But to his dismay, Dan Gallin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 36th minute, Dan Gallin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Mats Hedkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Dan Gallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Ahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dan Gallin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mats Ahlquist was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The La Vecchia Signora players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Skepplanda were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dan Gallin to strike the kick off in the second half. Mats Ahlquist made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Dan Gallin sent off a good shot on target. Roland Christoffersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Christoffersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Mats Ahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Gallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Ahlquist having to interfere. Skepplanda's Roland Christoffersson got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roland Christoffersson got free with Mats Ahlquist in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mats Ahlquist stood somewhat misplaced when Jesper Ekström came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 86 minute. Roland Christoffersson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Mats Ahlquist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carl Almkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skepplanda's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
