The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Rivas got free with Yngve Göransson in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Georg Sjöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olov Stolpe took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Steenberghs. Hans Steenberghs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Monsters booed when DIÖ IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Ekgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Rivas got free with Yngve Göransson in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Staffan Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, DIÖ IK's goalkeeper Yngve Göransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvald Helemäe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Ove Pilblad in the 35th minute of play forced Monsters's goalkeeper Hans Steenberghs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Monsters booed when DIÖ IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Sjöman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th match minute, Monsters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joar Smitt to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, DIÖ IK's Olov Stolpe got a free kick in the 41st minute. Joar Smitt charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joar Smitt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joar Smitt hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Olov Stolpe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Steenberghs having to make a save. After the first half DIÖ IK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvald Helemäe was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Gustavo Rivas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monsters and the DIÖ IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of DIÖ IK booed when Monsters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Georg Sjöman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Monsters's Daniel Hellsing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yngve Göransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Rivas took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yngve Göransson. Evert Bäcklin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Hans Steenberghs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Stolpe in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to DIÖ IK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Staffan Ivarsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Staffan Ivarsson in the 70th minute of play forced Monsters's goalkeeper Hans Steenberghs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as DIÖ IK's Staffan Ivarsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hans Steenberghs. That made the score 1-2 after 71 minutes of play. Gustavo Rivas might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yngve Göransson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Rivas ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Osvald Helemäe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yngve Göransson was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Yngve Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvald Helemäe in the 83rd minute of play. Monsters were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after DIÖ IK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Hellsing took the corner. After taking down the ball on Monsters's corner Daniel Hellsing fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yngve Göransson quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Elof Pååk managed to get in a good position for a shot. DIÖ IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Elof Pååk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Steenberghs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Jesper Alin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olov Stolpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Hans Steenberghs made a huge save.
