In the 15th match minute, Rank 1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Arne Dalström to maneuver through the defense. Alex De Marchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Vesterberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Vadstena's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Lindgren came free, but Alex De Marchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Rank 1's goalkeeper Philip Kleen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olle Dahlbom. In the 43rd minute, Samuel Karlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conny Vesterberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Rank 1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Pååk to maneuver through the defense. Olle Dahlbom kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Valdemar Hedbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Kleen having to interfere. Philip Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Karlberg in the 59th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Rank 1 got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Arne Dalström. During the 63rd minute of the match Anders Biörkman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anders Biörkman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 65th minute, Ludvig Jonasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Benjamin Erserman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vadstena's Otto Aelbrecht got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vadstena's Alex De Marchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Vesterberg in the 90th minute of play.
