In the 23rd minute José Carlos Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Ström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Sandwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Ström having to interfere. Nou Mercat Club de Futbol's Verner Uggla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Hedlund in the 33rd minute of play. Fredrik Sandwall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 36 played minutes Segmon IF got a freekick which was hit by Lars-Erik Lidström. Fredrik Sandwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. The supporters of Nou Mercat Club de Futbol booed when Segmon IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Österlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fredrik Sandwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Dubiel was the one to do the kick off. Måns Nord kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Segmon IF got a freekick which was hit by Magdaleno Prats. After a defensive mix-up in Segmon IF's zone, Fredrik Sandwall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Ström came out of the goal and Fredrik Sandwall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nou Mercat Club de Futbol's Verner Uggla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Dubiel in the 80th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Ian Ström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Robert Dubiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredrik Sandwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Ström having to interfere. Ian Ström was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and José Carlos Eger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Carlos Eger really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 89th match minute, Nou Mercat Club de Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Måns Nord to maneuver through the defense. The Nou Mercat Club de Futbol supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nou Mercat Club de Futbol would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
