Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoffer Vennerlund in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Viklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Porto were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after FC Finskalejonet's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgar Blomqvist took the corner. Carlos Quintanilha's late challenge caught a FC Finskalejonet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Quintanilha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, FC Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Quintanilha to maneuver through the defense. Boruc Serwacki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Recife in the 24th minute of play. FC Porto's Boruc Serwacki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Dahlquist in the 26th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, FC Finskalejonet's Karl-Michael Dahlquist made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boruc Serwacki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Henrik Olofsson struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Leo Viklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Porto. The supporters of FC Porto booed when FC Finskalejonet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cemil Gökekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinho Recife hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Henrik Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Viklund having to interfere. Christoffer Vennerlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Leo Viklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Karl-Michael Dahlquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Finskalejonet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Michael Dahlquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boruc Serwacki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Recife in the 56th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Christoffer Vennerlund took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Leo Viklund to make any attempt to save it. After 63 minutes, Edgar Blomqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Porto and the FC Finskalejonet players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Porto's Edgar Blomqvist got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes of play, FC Finskalejonet's Claudinho Recife made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boruc Serwacki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leo Viklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Vennerlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Recife in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boruc Serwacki saved FC Porto from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Recife in the 81st minute of play forced FC Porto's goalkeeper Boruc Serwacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konrad Lövkvist hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Claudinho Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Ödman in the 88th minute of play forced FC Porto's goalkeeper Boruc Serwacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Claudinho Recife's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boruc Serwacki was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Finskalejonet fully deserved thier win.
