Gjermundnes BF's Jøran Jordal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans-Erik Hegg in the 3rd minute of play. Jøran Jordal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Erik Hegg in the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of Gjermundnes BF booed when FC Plankehaugen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Kallestad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Hans-Erik Hegg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jøran Jordal. The goal made the score 2-0. Jøran Jordal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Dreyer went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 18 minutes of play, FC Plankehaugen's Mathias Dreyer made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jøran Jordal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jøran Jordal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans-Erik Hegg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Plankehaugen's Stian Gjesdal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jøran Jordal. That made the score 5-0 after 24 minutes of play. Mathias Dreyer struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jøran Jordal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Plankehaugen. In the 44th minute of the match, Mathias Dreyer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jøran Jordal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Stian Gjesdal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Gjermundnes BF's goal looked a bit too open when Stian Gjesdal came free, but Jøran Jordal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kyrre Kløvstad was the one to do the kick off. Jøran Jordal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Dreyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. FC Plankehaugen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Kallestad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
