Vinzendi FC Retired!'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Baars was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4th minute, Harmen Baan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniël Middeljans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martien Bronkhorst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Ronald Bult had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martien Eisenga. Vinzendi FC Retired!'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronald Bult was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Kiewit in the 19th minute of play forced Domwier Excelsior's goalkeeper Johannes Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Vinzendi FC Retired! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Baars to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Vinzendi FC Retired!'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Bult came free, but Martien Eisenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniël Middeljans got free with Martien Eisenga in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Vinzendi FC Retired!'s Rafael Baars got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ronald Bult struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Martien Eisenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Domwier Excelsior. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ronald Bult took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Martien Eisenga to make any attempt to save it. Harmen Baan succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. When Arjen Stam fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vinzendi FC Retired!'s protests and gave Arjen Stam a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Domwier Excelsior booed when Vinzendi FC Retired! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arjen Stam didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronald Bult stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniël Middeljans in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martien Eisenga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes into the game, Marinus van Zwam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinzendi FC Retired!'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Domwier Excelsior the free kick. A collision led to Vinzendi FC Retired! getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Marinus van Zwam hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Vinzendi FC Retired!'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Bult came free, but Martien Eisenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean-Paul Plagge's late challenge caught a Vinzendi FC Retired!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Paul Plagge helped the player get up and apologised. Daniël Middeljans kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Vinzendi FC Retired!'s Rafael Baars ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johannes Holt. Johannes Holt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Johannes Holt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Aerssen in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Vinzendi FC Retired! defense, Ronald Bult kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martien Eisenga. The Vinzendi FC Retired! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martien Eisenga should have stopped the shot. Ronald Bult received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Martien Eisenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniël Middeljans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martien Eisenga having to interfere. Anton Aerssen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Johannes Holt made a huge save. After some careless play in the Vinzendi FC Retired! defense, Martien Bronkhorst kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martien Eisenga. The Vinzendi FC Retired! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martien Eisenga should have stopped the shot. Martien Eisenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Bult, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vinzendi FC Retired!'s Marinus van Zwam got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ronald Bult recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Domwier Excelsior were the better team. Domwier Excelsior's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
