After 19 played minutes Mittelheubronn FC got a freekick which was hit by Harold Burdach. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristof Scherer in the 23rd minute of play forced Roter Stern Bonn FC's goalkeeper Hermann Schlief to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Roter Stern Bonn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luz Spruck to maneuver through the defense. Roter Stern Bonn FC's Hermann Schlief played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristof Scherer in the 37th minute of play. Mattes Wacker might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andreas Goethe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mattes Wacker ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Mittelheubronn FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattes Wacker was the one to do the kick off. Andreas Goethe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattes Wacker in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horst Modrzewski in the 65th minute of play forced Roter Stern Bonn FC's goalkeeper Hermann Schlief to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horst Modrzewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Hermann Schlief tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Horst Modrzewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mittelheubronn FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horst Modrzewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermann Schlief breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kristof Scherer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Hermann Schlief tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Kristof Scherer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Roter Stern Bonn FC's Hermann Schlief got control of the ball when Kristof Scherer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Kristof Scherer notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Roter Stern Bonn FC's Hermann Schlief. Hermann Schlief was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
