The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in FC Godfather's zone, Olivier Lambrecht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphael Kessler came out of the goal and Olivier Lambrecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Axel Jaspers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Jaspers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Peter Klein made a huge save. 13 minutes into the game, Hoisten FSV's Olivier Lambrecht nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raphael Kessler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Burkhard Bahlinger's late challenge caught a FC Godfather's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Burkhard Bahlinger helped the player get up and apologised. Burkhard Bahlinger hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Kassian Hastenteufel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Godfather's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kassian Hastenteufel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olivier Lambrecht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Raphael Kessler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, FC Godfather's Axel Jaspers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Steve Garbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Klein having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Klemens van Dorp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hoisten FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Godfather the free kick. The supporters of FC Godfather booed when Hoisten FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klemens van Dorp didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 29 in the game by Axel Jaspers from a close distance when the talented Peter Klein managed to make a qualified save. Hoisten FSV's players were relieved. Kai-Uwe Pässler kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Hoisten FSV got a freekick which was hit by Kai-Uwe Pässler. Kassian Hastenteufel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Klemens van Dorp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoisten FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Klemens van Dorp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael Kessler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olivier Lambrecht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Raphael Kessler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ray Kleinfeld during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hoisten FSV getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ray Kleinfeld hit a great ball. 49 minutes into the game, Axel Jaspers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter Klein. Axel Jaspers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olivier Lambrecht to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Godfather booed when Hoisten FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Kleinfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Garbe kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Peter Klein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Jaspers, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Hendrik Ackers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th match minute, Hoisten FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ray Kleinfeld to maneuver through the defense. Peter Klein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Madl, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 88 played minutes Hoisten FSV got a freekick which was hit by Kai-Uwe Pässler. If Hendrik Ackers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burkhard Bahlinger hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
