The long shot by Francis Forcucci in the 13th minute really tested Roby Trommler's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 15 played minutes Yggdrasil got a freekick which was hit by Elari Veide. Marcel Shuster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marc Fuhrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roby Trommler having to interfere. Roby Trommler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rainer Cinq-Mars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roby Trommler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainer Cinq-Mars, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Marcel Shuster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marc Fuhrer might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roby Trommler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc Fuhrer ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marc Fuhrer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yggdrasil's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc Fuhrer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roby Trommler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, Yggdrasil's Marc Fuhrer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roby Trommler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlo Domini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Rainer Cinq-Mars managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yggdrasil's supporters rose to their feet, but Rainer Cinq-Mars was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roby Trommler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rainer Cinq-Mars came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Yggdrasil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rainer Cinq-Mars couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Yggdrasil's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Shuster came free, but Michael Huizinga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Yggdrasil players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fontaine AC were winning 0-1.

After having played for 53 minutes, Marc Fuhrer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlo Domini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Huizinga having to interfere. Marcel Shuster who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Michael Huizinga when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
