Matias Ostots started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Gaszynski got free with Fredrik Vanden Bussche in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Ewout Schautens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommie Schaerlaekens. Welle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ewout Schautens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Matias Ostots ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommie Schaerlaekens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 14 minutes of play, Welle's Edward Gaszynski made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredrik Vanden Bussche was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, RC Asse's Fredrik Vanden Bussche got control of the ball when Natan De Boeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fredrik Vanden Bussche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Gabriel Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Vanden Bussche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Welle's Fredrik Vanden Bussche threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Natan De Boeck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. RC Asse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Coutinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. If Gabriel Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Coutinho made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gabriel Coutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Welle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 57 minutes into the game, Welle's Natan De Boeck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fredrik Vanden Bussche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Matias Ostots's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Tommie Schaerlaekens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fredrik Vanden Bussche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Coutinho in the 65th minute of the match. Fredrik Vanden Bussche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-3. In the 96th minute, Edward Gaszynski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Welle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-3. Welle's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
