Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eugen Zeciu hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. If Călin Berechet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Național București booed when Ghirolt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Zeciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Călin Berechet during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Călin Berechet hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the game, Sergiu Popilean lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Iacob Lupoi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugen Zeciu in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iacob Lupoi saved FC Național București from getting behind. Ghirolt's Sever Călinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Balint in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Ioan Trandafir could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Iacob Lupoi however easily saved by the left post. In the 24th minute, Sergiu Popilean fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iacob Lupoi, passed just outside the right post. Iacob Lupoi came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ghirolt's Ioan Trandafir. But to his dismay, Ioan Trandafir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Călin Berechet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Călinescu having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Național București's goalkeeper Iacob Lupoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iacob Lupoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Popilean in the 33rd minute of play. After 38 minutes, Eugen Zeciu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ghirolt and the FC Național București players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Național București booed when Ghirolt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Zeciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panait Boia thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Iacob Lupoi, a very annoying self made goal in the 40th minute which led to 3-0. Iacob Lupoi made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ioan Trandafir sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Sergiu Popilean reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iacob Lupoi. The goal made the score 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergiu Popilean was the one to do the kick off. Iacob Lupoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Popilean in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Popilean in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Național București's goalkeeper Iacob Lupoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes, Robert Balint mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Național București and the Ghirolt players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robert Balint hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ghirolt's Sergiu Popilean got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Ioan Trandafir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Iacob Lupoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Robert Balint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Sergiu Popilean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Lupoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iacob Lupoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Trandafir, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 85th minute, Liviu Horațiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Ioan Trandafir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iacob Lupoi. FC Național București's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ioan Trandafir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Iacob Lupoi came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Ghirolt's Sergiu Popilean. But to his dismay, Sergiu Popilean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Robert Balint received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sever Călinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ghirolt could leave the field as winners, despite FC Național București having more of the ball for most of the match.
