Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Dropia's zone, Basarab Răduțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Jumancă came out of the goal and Basarab Răduțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basarab Răduțu might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogdan Jumancă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basarab Răduțu ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the match, Dropia's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Mortu came free, but Bogdan Jumancă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Prundureni AS booed when Dropia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Hâncu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vintilă Mihele during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute Șerban Alexandru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavius Ceaușescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
