In the 2nd match minute, Rasculatii de la Bobilna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Zbârlea to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Rasculatii de la Bobilna's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Sbârcea came free, but Ivan Corlățean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Steaua United's zone, Basarab Gagiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Ciocâlteu came out of the goal and Basarab Gagiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 minutes of play, Rasculatii de la Bobilna's Basarab Gagiu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mircea Ciocâlteu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Radu Sbârcea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Corlățean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Sbârcea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rasculatii de la Bobilna booed when Steaua United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Trifănucă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basarab Gagiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cazimir Zbârlea kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Laurențiu Penciulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Corlățean. Rasculatii de la Bobilna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Constantin Bulencea charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantin Bulencea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radu Sbârcea to make the kick off. Ivan Corlățean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Sbârcea in the 53rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basarab Gagiu during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Basarab Gagiu hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Aurel Brăiloiu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Rasculatii de la Bobilna's Teodor Colceriu suffered a sore thigh after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Mircea Ciocâlteu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Gagiu in the 69th minute of play. Cazimir Zbârlea struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Mircea Ciocâlteu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rasculatii de la Bobilna. Cazimir Zbârlea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cazimir Zbârlea came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Rasculatii de la Bobilna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cazimir Zbârlea couldn't finish the play. Cazimir Zbârlea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mircea Ciocâlteu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dumitru Rădoi charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dumitru Rădoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Steaua United getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Dumitru Rădoi hit a great ball. Cazimir Zbârlea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilie Cămătaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Ciocâlteu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Coșereanu in the 83rd minute of play forced Steaua United's goalkeeper Mircea Ciocâlteu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Cămătaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mircea Ciocâlteu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basarab Gagiu in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mircea Ciocâlteu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Radu Sbârcea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dumitru Rădoi kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Basarab Gagiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Rasculatii de la Bobilna were the better team. Rasculatii de la Bobilna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
