An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Kopola in the 6th minute of play forced Gers FC's goalkeeper Vihtori Kallioniemi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, JJ SumU Akatemia's Otto Kopola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vihtori Kallioniemi. Vihtori Kallioniemi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. JJ SumU Akatemia's Jesse Koivula got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-0 became the score in the 17th minute when Otto Kopola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Gers FC's Jaakkima Seppä sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Untamo Masalin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Otto Kopola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aukusti Salermo's late challenge caught a JJ SumU Akatemia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aukusti Salermo helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Gers FC got a freekick which was hit by Aukusti Salermo. 26 minutes into the match, JJ SumU Akatemia's Otto Kopola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vihtori Kallioniemi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. JJ SumU Akatemia were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Gers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. George Hagi took the corner. George Hagi made a great header on JJ SumU Akatemia's corner, it was just that Gers FC's Vihtori Kallioniemi managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Otto Kopola in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 44th minute, Oiva Uhlbäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Otto Kopola was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Gers FC booed when JJ SumU Akatemia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oiva Uhlbäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oiva Uhlbäck charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oiva Uhlbäck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. JJ SumU Akatemia's Untamo Masalin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save JJ SumU Akatemia from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Gers FC booed when JJ SumU Akatemia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eerik Myllynen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the JJ SumU Akatemia defense, Henrikki Koivuniemi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Untamo Masalin. The JJ SumU Akatemia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Untamo Masalin should have stopped the shot. Vihtori Kallioniemi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Kopola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Gers FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaakkima Seppä. Otto Kopola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th match minute, Gers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maunu Jokiranta to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes, JJ SumU Akatemia's George Hagi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vihtori Kallioniemi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in JJ SumU Akatemia reached it. If Otto Kopola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
