Vahur Ütt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Markus Vollmer having to make a save. In the 15th minute, Arto Voit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Markus Vollmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vambola Kips in the 19th minute. Valdur Jüriöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arto Voit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Kopelmani JK defense, Uudo Halman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdur Jüriöö. The Kopelmani JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdur Jüriöö should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Vahur Ütt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Markus Vollmer was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The supporters of Kopelmani JK booed when FC OTEPÄÄ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Jakobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, FC OTEPÄÄ's Uudo Halman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdur Jüriöö narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Arto Voit managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC OTEPÄÄ's supporters rose to their feet, but Arto Voit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdur Jüriöö breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vahur Ütt made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vambola Kips in the 53rd minute of play forced FC OTEPÄÄ's goalkeeper Markus Vollmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vambola Kips struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Markus Vollmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kopelmani JK. Vahur Ütt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC OTEPÄÄ's Markus Vollmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vahur Ütt in the 65th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Kopelmani JK's Aabel Heinla tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
