The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Firat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulhamit Yay to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gürselpaşa SK booed when Firat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oğuzer Tandoruk didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ersan İkinci fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Firat's protests and gave Ersan İkinci a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Firat got a freekick which was hit by Ersan İkinci. After having played for 8 minutes, Cem Muhlis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gürselpaşa SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cem Muhlis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tuncay Vedat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdulhamit Siret in the 12th minute of play. Abdulhamit Yay kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gürselpaşa SK defense, Oğuzer Tandoruk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tuncay Vedat. The Gürselpaşa SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tuncay Vedat should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Gürselpaşa SK's Hacı Ali Özakıncı seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hacı Ali Özakıncı the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gürselpaşa SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hacı Ali Özakıncı had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Abdulhamit Siret hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 38th match minute, Firat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulhamit Yay to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Abdulhamit Yay notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gürselpaşa SK's Tuncay Vedat. Tuncay Vedat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 45 played minutes Firat got a freekick which was hit by Hüseyin Can Onar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oğuzer Tandoruk was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Firat getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Abdulhamit Siret hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babür Işınay in the 53rd minute of play forced Gürselpaşa SK's goalkeeper Tuncay Vedat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oğuzer Tandoruk got free with Tuncay Vedat in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Gürselpaşa SK's Tuncay Vedat got control of the ball when Abdulhamit Yay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Okanalp Çoğaş hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gürselpaşa SK's goalkeeper Tuncay Vedat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Gürselpaşa SK's goal looked a bit too open when Oğuzer Tandoruk came free, but Tuncay Vedat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Gürselpaşa SK's goalkeeper Tuncay Vedat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdulhamit Siret. Tuncay Vedat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oğuzer Tandoruk, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Gürselpaşa SK's Yusuf Ziya Payidar has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Oğuzer Tandoruk could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Tuncay Vedat however easily saved by the left post. Firat's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
