Thanks to some nice moves Vágner Dias could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Nguyễn Nam however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Boleslaw Moizuk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nguyễn Nam. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Mattias Thorsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Thi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Poseidon's Vágner Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Nam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mattias Thorsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đặng Than in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Lâm Thanh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Thorsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Nam came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Poseidon's Phan Minh-ha. But to his dismay, Phan Minh-ha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 31 minutes into the game, Boleslaw Moizuk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Nguyễn Nam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lê Nguyet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Nguyễn Nam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Vágner Dias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Nguyễn Nam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vágner Dias received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nguyễn Nam came out and tried to block the shot, but Vágner Dias slotted it home off the left post making it 7-0 in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lâm Thanh to make the kick off. Nguyễn Nam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 played minutes Lam Dong got a freekick which was hit by Trần Thi. If Boleslaw Moizuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Vágner Dias sped through Lam Dong's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Nam. In the 65th minute, Boleslaw Moizuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lam Dong's Lương Dung got a free kick in the 66th minute. Vágner Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lam Dong's Lê Hong Minh got a free kick in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Lam Dong's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Dias came free, but Nguyễn Nam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vágner Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lam Dong booed when Poseidon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Minh-ha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lê Nguyet scored 9-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Nam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trần Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lam Dong's Nguyễn Nam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Dias in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Lam Dong booed when Poseidon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vágner Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Nam having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Lam Dong got a freekick which was hit by Lý Than. In the 93rd minute, Gonçalo Loureiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lam Dong's Nguyễn Nam didn't even have to move.
