A collision led to Goonaus getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rasmus Lidman hit a great ball. Bob Stevens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Broderick Easther in the 9th minute of play. Pedro Ronaldinho took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grant Gissane. Grant Gissane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Grant Gissane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Ronaldinho in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Pedro Ronaldinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Grant Gissane was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Bob Stevens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Kreck's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Adolfo Paynter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Grant Gissane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hans Kreck made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Adolfo Paynter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolfo Paynter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grant Gissane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Ronaldinho in the 63rd minute of the match. When Adolfo Paynter came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Goonaus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Paynter couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Pedro Ronaldinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Grant Gissane was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Broderick See during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Broderick See hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Ronaldinho took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grant Gissane. Grant Gissane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. When Goonaus's Pedro Ronaldinho in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wandoan's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Ronaldinho in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grant Gissane saved Wandoan from getting behind. Grant Gissane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Ronaldinho in the 89th minute of the match. Bob Stevens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Kreck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darell Cookesley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Stevens having to interfere. A collision led to Goonaus getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Brannan Lingwoodock hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Wandoan's Broderick Easther broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Goonaus walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
