The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cafu do Nascimento got free with Geovanildo Mendi in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elano Coutinho in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romário Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Elano Coutinho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Romário Dantas. In the 21st minute, Elano Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romário Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Elano Coutinho scored 0-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romário Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 32 minutes, Elano Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Zumbi - Férias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elano Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Didi Barros hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Cafu do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romário Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Vila Zumbi - Férias were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elano Coutinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Didi Barros during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vila Zumbi - Férias booed when Laranja EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th match minute, Laranja EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Barros to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match, Elano Coutinho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Romário Dantas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Elano Coutinhos short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Romário Dantas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Laranja EC's zone, Elano Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romário Dantas came out of the goal and Elano Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67thth minute of the game Elano Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laranja EC's Romário Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romário Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magno Moreira went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After 70 played minutes Vila Zumbi - Férias got a freekick which was hit by Elano Coutinho. Vila Zumbi - Férias's Geovanildo Mendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Dante in the 71st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Elano Coutinho put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Romário Dantas. After some careless play in the Vila Zumbi - Férias defense, Didi Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanildo Mendi. The Vila Zumbi - Férias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovanildo Mendi should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Cafu do Nascimento put it in 2-6 from a short distance just to the right of Geovanildo Mendi. Romário Dantas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elano Coutinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 85 minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi - Férias's Elano Coutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romário Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
