Júnior Brodel came out of the goal and Alfred Cizeski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ypiranga SC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Eugênio Torres hit a great ball. Roger Quadros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santiago Cañizares came out and tried to block the shot, but Roger Quadros slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute, Lucas Cordeiro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 38 minutes, Lech Wiatrak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valencia CF and the Ypiranga SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Ypiranga SC fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Ypiranga SC's Lucas Cordeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 69 played minutes Ypiranga SC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Cordeiro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Quadros in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Cañizares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Lucas Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Cañizares was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game.
