Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edgar Reis kicked off to start the match. When Mateus Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 021 SAF's protests and gave Mateus Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to 021 SAF getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mateus Ortiz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Linares in the 16th minute of play forced 021 SAF's goalkeeper Sidnei Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raí Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sidnei Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Daniel Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Internacional's Raí Linares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidnei Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Edgar Reis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidnei Mendonça. 021 SAF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Reis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Salgado in the 31st minute of play forced Internacional's goalkeeper Flavinho Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 021 SAF's Sidnei Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Brodel in the 36th minute of play. Sidnei Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sidnei Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugênio Barbosa got free with Flavinho Gerber in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Internacional were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Salgado made a kick off. Raí Linares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sidnei Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but Raí Linares slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Palmeira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sidnei Mendonça. Rodolfo Palmeira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Internacional's Aloísio Silva got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Barbosa came free, but Flavinho Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Raí Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidnei Mendonça was a little too slow when Raí Linares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-5. The supporters of 021 SAF booed when Internacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerson Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, 021 SAF's Hélder França got a free kick in the 95th minute. Internacional's Rodolfo Palmeira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for 021 SAF. Internacional's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
