The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Morere's zone, Enrique Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Brito came out of the goal and Enrique Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Nassan FC's Omar Sivori slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonas Brito. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Róbson Esteves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. Nassan FC's Nelsinho Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Lucas in the 9th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erivaldo Luz in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelsinho Valadares saved Nassan FC from getting behind. Rafael Paraense's late challenge caught a Nassan FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Morere got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Paraense. Thanks to some nice moves Omar Sivori could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Jonas Brito however easily saved by the left post. Nassan FC's Nelsinho Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Carioca in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Omar Sivori lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Jonas Brito. Dadá Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nelsinho Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelsinho Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erivaldo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Nassan FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rui Macedo hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Nassan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Luz came free, but Nelsinho Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nassan FC's Nelsinho Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Luz in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Morere defense, Omar Sivori kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Brito. The Morere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Brito should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Franco Tutorskiy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas Brito. That made the score 4-0 in the 42 minute of play. Nassan FC's Omar Sivori got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dadá Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Omar Sivori came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Nassan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Sivori couldn't finish the play. Omar Sivori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jonas Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Morere getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dito Paraíba hit a great ball. Jonas Brito came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nassan FC's Omar Sivori. But to his dismay, Omar Sivori quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Morere! The referee gave Nassan FC a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Franco Tutorskiy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Morere's Jonas Brito. 7-0. After having played for 91 minutes, Erivaldo Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Dadá Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nassan FC had played much better football throughout.
