An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Kroos in the 3rd minute of play forced Clube Athletico Paranaens's goalkeeper Gilvan Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilvan Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Luis, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Clube Athletico Paranaens's Gilvan Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toni Kroos in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Lovat SS got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Luis. Adalmo Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Toni Kroos might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilvan Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toni Kroos ran back to his position shaking his head. Waut De Mare kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Toni Kroos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Peixoto having to interfere. When Charly Alcaraz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Lovat SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charly Alcaraz couldn't finish the play. Adalmo Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilvan Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Kroos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Guto Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Anderson Luis came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Lovat SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Luis couldn't finish the play. After 39 minutes of play, Lovat SS's Anderson Luis made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilvan Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anderson Luis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto de Senna hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Anderson Luis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilvan Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Luis in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Lovat SS got a corner. Clube Athletico Paranaens's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waut De Mare ran over to the corner to take the kick. Waut De Mare made a great header on Lovat SS's corner, it was just that Clube Athletico Paranaens's Gilvan Peixoto managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half Lovat SS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Adalmo Maciel made the kick off in the second half. Toni Kroos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toni Kroos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gilvan Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilvan Peixoto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Toni Kroos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. Anderson Luis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lovat SS's Charly Alcaraz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilvan Peixoto. That made the score 0-5 after 75 minutes of play. When Toni Kroos came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Lovat SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Kroos couldn't finish the play. Clube Athletico Paranaens's Gilvan Peixoto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Athletico Paranaens from getting a goal against them. Lovat SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
