The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Conrad Eberhart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baptiste Amlehn might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Žolt Narobe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baptiste Amlehn ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Baptiste Amlehn put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Žolt Narobe. The Switzerland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After some careless play in the Slovenia defense, Baptiste Amlehn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Žolt Narobe. The Slovenia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Žolt Narobe should have stopped the shot. Switzerland's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
