Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mel Pais made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Bros in the 3rd minute of play forced U21 Sweden's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Jonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Gau Zubiaga in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Sweden's Aleksander Lingren. Marta Rey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jimmie Holmqvist in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, U21 Spain's Pascual Macia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nils-Erik Jonsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 15th minute Pascual Macia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Jonsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils-Erik Jonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mel Pais in the 16th minute of play. When Sebastian Käller came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the U21 Sweden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Käller couldn't finish the play. Andrés Iniesta kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Mel Pais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Erik Jonsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nils-Erik Jonsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Macia in the 27th minute of the match. The corner ended in Pascual Macia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Sweden's Nils-Erik Jonsson did a great save. 35 minutes into the game, U21 Spain's Pascual Macia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. U21 Sweden's Ove Salkvist was substituted for Sebastian Käller. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ove Salkvist made a kick off. Marta Rey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ove Salkvist went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pascual Macia in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils-Erik Jonsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. U21 Spain made a substitution. Froilan Reyes replaced Mel Pais. U21 Spain's Gabri Veiga was substituted for Mario Bros. U21 Sweden's Aleksander Lingren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gau Zubiaga, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Marta Rey came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Sweden's Jimmie Holmqvist. But to his dismay, Jimmie Holmqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. U21 Spain's Marta Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Salkvist in the 83rd minute of play. U21 Sweden's Nils-Erik Jonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Reyes in the 84th minute of play. Marta Rey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ove Salkvist's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimmie Holmqvist in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marta Rey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. U21 Sweden's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aleksander Lingren in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmie Holmqvist came free, but Marta Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97th play minutes Pascual Macia shot 4-5, a short shot which went by Nils-Erik Jonsson and just under the crossbar into goal. The U21 Spain supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U21 Spain would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
