After a rather tough play, U21 United States's Bryce Hendrix got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a little luck, U21 Czech Republic's Karel Janeba got control of the ball when Clark Aaron tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Henryk Maceček made a precise shot to the right of Enoch Carrey. U21 United States's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clark Aaron got free with Karel Janeba in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enoch Carrey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henryk Maceček in the 28th minute of the match. Karel Janeba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clark Aaron in the 29th minute of play. Rodrick Finn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Janeba having to interfere. After 40 played minutes U21 United States got a freekick which was hit by Rodrick Finn. After 41 played minutes, U21 Czech Republic's Jaroslav Kytka shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enoch Carrey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U21 Czech Republic reached it. Josef Hejč kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Armen Amirhanyan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 49th minute of the match, Mihran Mkhitaryan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Karel Janeba was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

U21 United States made a substitution. Chupan Maria replaced A.J. Bowles. After 53 played minutes U21 Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Zbyšek Jirásko. 55 minutes into the match, U21 United States's goal looked a bit too open when Zbyšek Jirásko came free, but Enoch Carrey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enoch Carrey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henryk Maceček in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henryk Maceček got free with Enoch Carrey in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihran Mkhitaryan in the 82nd minute of play forced U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Karel Janeba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Josef Koucký shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enoch Carrey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Duff in the 97th minute of play forced U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Karel Janeba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 United States's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armen Amirhanyan in the 99th minute. The U21 United States supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Czech Republic's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Czech Republic.
