Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when George Moore kicked off to start the match. Daniel Beaton kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Finland booed when U21 Scotland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley Forester didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th match minute, U21 Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee Reidfurd to maneuver through the defense. U21 Scotland's Larry Lecky proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Scotland from getting a goal against them. Samuli Marttila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, U21 Finland's Petri Kinnaslampi got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Bombai Karjalainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Finland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bombai Karjalainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute George Moore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olli-Pekka Mikkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helmer Sulku kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st match minute, U21 Finland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joona Kapanen to maneuver through the defense. Olli-Pekka Mikkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Moore in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Petri Kinnaslampi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Scotland's Larry Lecky was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Larry Lecky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bombai Karjalainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Larry Lecky stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petri Kinnaslampi's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Petri Kinnaslampi might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Larry Lecky. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petri Kinnaslampi ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the game, Petri Kinnaslampi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Larry Lecky was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute, Bombai Karjalainen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Larry Lecky was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With a little luck, U21 Finland's Olli-Pekka Mikkonen got control of the ball when George Moore tried to sneak it across the goal line. Larry Lecky didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bombai Karjalainen went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Olli-Pekka Mikkonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Moore in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, U21 Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Bombai Karjalainen came free, but Larry Lecky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Bombai Karjalainen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, U21 Finland's Kustaa Etula got a free kick in the 91st minute. George Moore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, U21 Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Petri Kinnaslampi came free, but Larry Lecky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Finland's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
