Ideal Training Camps

I am wondering, what is the optimal time to put your youth players through training camps? I cycle my youth players through training camps throughout the season, but I find if I put them all in a five week camp, I won't have time to train all 20. Is putting a player through the 5 week camp ideal? or is 3-4 weeks better?

You can send 6 players to the training camp for maximum 5 weeks. My understanding is that you can have a maximum of 20 youth players. There are 13 weeks per season. Based on my experience, the best youth development seems to be sending youths to training camp for 5 weeks. My suggested schedule is outlined below:

week 1 - week 5: 6 players
week 6 - week 10: 6 players
week 11 - week 13: 6 players

Note that if you send the 6 players for 5 weeks during the last three weeks i.e. week 11 to week 13, these players will be counted as they have gone to the training camp in that season. Once they have completed the training camp next season, you can send them again for training camp.

As you can count, I have only sent 18 of my 20 youth players to training camp. The remaining 2 youth players are left in the training rink as goalkeepers i.e. I normally do not send my goalies to training camp.

This is one suggestion, I am sure other people have different opinions.

I usually send 1-2 players to camp for a week or two.

you get the full potential if you use 5 week camp to one player. that's what I do.

I think have 20 youth is too many.
Because I send in TC 18,19,20,21th years players (4-5 weeks) and if I have many youth player I cant train normaly many players.

@saulenka, younger players improve faster so in theory a 15 year old player improves faster than your 21 year old player when you send him to the training camp. Also, I think it cost more if you send players older than 18 years old.

iblocha, yes I know. I mean, I send player 15,16,17,18,19,20,21 years.
I am growing good player.
I wanted to say, if I have 20 youth, I can send to TS about 10 youth, because next 8 player are older then 18...

5 week camps are the best camps. You cannot send all 20 Youths to 5 week camps in one season. I choose my top 15 youths and plan on camping them for 5 straight seasons. But you have to send your players to training camp one week at a time instead of all at once. If you send 6 players at once then every second season you will only be able to camp 12 players instead of 18 that you sent the first year. But if you spread it out to once a week (and twice on every fifth week) you can send 15-16 players every season. It also makes it easier financially to manage once a week camps as well.
